A New Beginning

It’s time for a fresh start.

Part of it is because, frankly, I needed to re-organize everything in my blog and it became such an overwhelming task I didn’t want to do it.

Part of it is because upon my last wordpress upgrade, something somewhere broke, and I was tired of trying to hunt down the source of all the annoying errors.

So here we are, a new day is dawning for the blog.

Not much will be here leading up to December 1st, with several papers due at school and a busy work load, but beginning on the 1st of the new month I will attempt to maintain the following blogging schedule and routine.

• Monday is for music — I’ll review or rave about a favorite song, musician, or group every Monday. I’m not sure I’ll have one every single week, as I’m not sure I come across 52 new songs or groups that I love every year, but I’ll do my best to keep the content fresh.
• Tuesday is for thoughts — I’ll write down whatever has caught my attention that particular week and what I’m feeling about it. Often it will have to do with politics, or current events, other times it may be random tidbits on sports, society, or school.
• Wednesday is for wishes — This is the day I’ll lay out one of my desires, whether far-fetched or true personal goal.
• Thursday is for theology — Most of my personal (outside of school) reading is on various theological issues, Thursday’s I’ll try and digest the thoughts and ideas that spring up on the blog.
• Friday is for film — Sometimes cinema, sometimes small screen, and occasionally YouTube, I’ll share whatever it is that has moved me spiritually, intellectually, or hilariously on Fridays.
• Saturday is for sports — I live, breathe, eat, and even work (as a section editor) sports. So Saturday’s I’ll devote to my favorite hobby.
• Sunday is for self-reflection — This is the day that gets flaky, self-reflection may mean various things in relation to the blog. I may not blog anything as I spend the day as a sort of sabbath in the traditional sense, or I may reveal some personal revelation. Really, it could be anywhere in between.

I’m looking forward to getting a new start on the blog. Thanks for sticking in there with me over the last year, as my blogging has gone on a serious hiatus with occasional spurts of posts. Hopefully the next year will bring much more frequency and quality from yours truly.
